Sugar Cane on Antigua

The sugar cane industry was established on the Island of Antigua in the 18th century.  By mid-century, there were over 150 cane producing windmills, each surrounded by plantations.

Visitors to Antigua can enjoy the taste of natural sugar cane when they visit the island.
